How it works
Three steps. Your resume on the web.
01
Build your resume
Pick a template, fill it with AI-assisted bullets. ~5 minutes to a polished draft.
02
Publish your link
One click. We generate resumedoctor.in/r/your-slug and copy it to your clipboard.
03
Share & update
Paste anywhere. Edit your resume later — every shared link reflects the latest version automatically.
Use it everywhere
One link. Every channel.
Recruiters in India don't open PDF attachments on mobile. They tap links. Make it easy for them.
Tap-to-open on every recruiter's phone. No PDF download dance.
LinkedIn DM
Drop the link in a follow-up message. Zero friction for the hiring manager.
Email signature
Add it under your name. Every email becomes a soft pitch for your resume.
QR on a card
Print on a business card or share at networking events, college fairs, expos.
Why a link
Why a link beats sending a PDF
Always the latest version
Edit your resume once and every link you've ever shared reflects the change. No re-sending.
Opens in one tap on mobile
Mobile-first preview. No download, no app, no zoom-and-pinch.
One URL forever
Bookmark-friendly. Goodbye to resume-final-FINAL-v2-revised.pdf.
Recruiter-friendly
Recruiters skim links way more than attachments. A clean URL beats a 250 KB PDF every time.
Questions
Resume link FAQ
1What is a resume link?+
A public URL — like resumedoctor.in/r/your-slug — that shows your current resume. Anyone with the link can view it on any device. There's no download required and no app to install.
2Is the link always up to date?+
Yes. Once you publish your resume link, every change you make in the editor is reflected the next time someone opens the link. You don't need to re-publish.
3Can I unpublish my link?+
Yes, you can stop sharing your resume at any time from the builder. Existing copies of the URL will then show a 'Resume not found' page.
4Do I need a paid plan to publish a link?+
No. Publishing your resume link is free on ResumeDoctor. Pro adds PDF and DOCX export and access to every template.
5Will my link show up on Google?+
By default, no. Resume links are intentionally noindex — they're meant for sharing with people you choose, not for public search results. Your name and contact details stay private.
6Can I use a custom URL like /r/my-name?+
Right now ResumeDoctor generates the slug for you. A custom (vanity) URL — let's say /r/hari-krishnan — is on our short-term roadmap.
7Does the link work on WhatsApp and LinkedIn?+
Yes. Every shared link comes with a rich preview card (your name, role, branded image) that renders on WhatsApp, LinkedIn DMs, iMessage, Slack, and email clients.
